This bushbuck was semi tame and came right up to me wanting food. Those eyes. You can,t forget them.

African Buffalo

Mean and dangerous. Often in herds.

This sable was roaming in the back regions when I was staying with the Kolobe Safari hosts.

Beautiful horns. Elegant speed. Great eye contact.

African Elephant

The story behind this image. The baby elephant crossed the road I was on. Our van was between the baby elephant and this pictured elephant. This elephant started rush towards our car and then made a turn to the back trunk of our car. This image was a real rush if you know what I mean.

Rhinoceros

You never know what this unpredictable creature will do. Fearless and strong. The white marks on its side may be from the thorn trees.

Southern yellow-billed hornbill .

This bird took my french fry when I walked aay from thr lunch table.

This bird just sat up in a tree just watching us for about 5-10 minutes.

HIPPOPOTAMUS

Also called a "water horse". This hippo came up out of the water about every 10 minute to remind me of the movie "Jaws".

MILKY WAY IN SOUTH AFRICA AT NIGHT

I set up my D300 Nikon with a 10mm wide angle lens and this is the results. It was midnight and you could almost touch the brilliant stars. Trees are on each side.
